Armed with a driven indie tone backed by bouncing electronic accompaniment, London’s LUMINAIRES are prepared to make a name for themselves across the airwaves with their infectious blend of indie electro and impressive live show. Their fusion of huge hook-laden indie-rock flirtations and dance/electro lay the perfect foundations for Aaron Sands’ impressive vocals.

Luminaires are:

  • Aaron Sands – vocals, guitar

  • Andrew McErlain – bass, backing vocals

  • Scott Burwood – drums

  • Harry Patterson – lead guitar

  • Shaun Skerrit – synth & key

Drawing influences from the likes of The Police to Daft Punk to the indie rock of Bloc Party and Editors, their repertoire of demos so far seem fit for Tristan Ivemy (The Holloways, Frank Turner, Babyshambles) to produce their debut release. Here are bursting at the seams with timeless indie rock sing-a-longs and incorporating enough electronic elements to not be considered another throwaway group confused of their place between genres.

“If Hadouken had smashed their buggy into the wall of Friendly Fires’ pop hooks and then tried to put the resultant carnage back together with thundering guitars and great slabs of synth, this would be the monster truck they’d create.” – MYSPACE UK
